From my research, it seems that he may be legitimate, however, I am a bit skeptical of everyone today because my credit card number was stolen today so my trust for mankind is down a tad. Hi!

I was also contacted by this same person. I see that Kathy is the only veteran here all the people in this chain are beginners in the site. I wonder if this is on purpose or just a random way. Does anyone have experience of licensing? That is besides the sites a lot of us have like here at GCU, Zazzle or any other.

What are the important steps to be considered in licensing? If there is anyone who can or want to help to see through the fog, I would appreciate some input.

At first i was excited he does have a ligit looking site etc. I haven't licensed my work before but the site almost seems like there may be a fee we pay for his services...does it look like that to anyone else? stacy

i am sorry to hear this kathy. our identity was stolen 2 years ago, it is a very strange feeling. and we are still dealing with the fraud reports.

I have licensed fabric, stickers, scrapbook paper and scrapbooks, but never greeting cards. The royalties all really depend on the company and what their general contract says. Some pay a flat fee, some pay a commision on on sales. Just be VERY careful, have a professional read every contract! never sign away all rights for your entire portofolio of work, make sure you retain your copyrights. If a company doesn't do as well you hoped, and they own rights to all your work for...mmm...say 3 years, then theres nothing you can do about it Sad

except start over from scratch...
