Wouldn't it be nice... (Read 575 times)

Jan 22^nd, 2010, 11:55pm If when you submitted cards for review that you could see some kind of timeline or status of where your cards are in the waiting list? Don't know how easy that would be to do but a gal can wish can't she? Cheryl

I wasn't sure if you knew, but in Manage Cards, you can view your card's status to a point. Here's the terminology and what it means:

Pending-Submitted: In the review queue, awaiting first review
Pending-FastTrack: In the review queue, ASAP requested, awaiting first review (allowed only for customer requests and time sensitive private gallery)
Pending-Resubmitted: In the review queue after being returned for edits and resubmitted by artist, awaiting second review
Pending-Held: In the hold queue awaiting further review
Approved: Card has been approved
Declined: Card has been declined
Returned for Edits: Returned to the artist for edit and resubmit

Beyond that, I doubt GCU even could provide a "timeline" or estimate or even a "guess-timate" on how long it will take a card to complete its journey to approval because every review will take a reviewer a different amount of time depending on many factors including how many other cards are in the queue, whether the card needs edits/corrections, category questions, held for peer or management review (2nd opinion), etc.

haha after my mind stopped singing the beach boys song with the same name as your subject line, i read your post.

take it from me a time line is no fun. on the stock sites i submit to, one in particular has a time line... oh my it goes from 36 hours jumps to 100 hours, back to 67 hours depends on the load of the queue and if there are rush reviews... it is even more disheartening to watch that clock jump around than it is just to wait.... and i have done both.

outside of the status checks Corrie gave you, there is really no set status updates that would be reliable, too many variables can come in, rush reviews, reviewers taking different amounts of time to review, a deluge of cards coming in at once for requests... as hard as it is to wait and wonder, this is much better undecided
