can we cut down on category clicks / scroll to top
Jan 13th, 2010, 11:45am

is there any way to make choosing categories faster.  am i missing a shortcut somewhere?
for instance adding valentines..i know its late... they will be there for next year.
at any rate.  there should be some way to cut out some steps

select categories  click

scroll   name of category  click  back to the top
scroll   holidays   click  back to the top
scroll   valentines   click  back to the top
scroll   family specific   click  back to the top
scroll   grandparents   click  back to the top
scroll   grandmother  click
 Huh
i am not lazy.. it just seems like so much wasted time and frustrating to keep going
back to the top and scrolling down again and again.

It would probably be easier if GCU choose the categories, then the card would not have to go back to the Artist and then back to the reviewer if the original category is wrong.  The reviewer could just choose the category to save a lot of time for the Artist and the Reviewer, as the card would not have to go back in for a second review.    Just an idea.     undecided    rosiecards

If you go to http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/forum/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=feedback and look under board topics there are 2 entries for this. You will find the other posts to this thread.  Smiley Mary

I can see how all that click, click, clicking could drive you nuts especially if you know what subcategory you want.  We have an internal tool that we use that lets us assign a category by simply entering the category id number.   Does that sound of interest to you?

Shocked Shocked Huh Huh  It sure WOULD help. At least then the artists would be using the same categorization system as the reviewers.    ---'e'

Actually the review team doesn't have it either.  To date it's been reserved to the "category clean up team".  Sounds like both artists and reviewers may get this new feature Smiley  I'll see if we can squeeze it into the queue as I think it will be a BIG time saver for many.
