Reviewed cards out of order (sequence) (Read 979 times)

Reviewed cards out of order (sequence)

This has happened a few times and i'm dumbfounded.
 
Example I loaded for review the following:
 
Product Id: 543191 Approved
Product Id: 543192 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543194 Approved
Product Id: 543195 Approved
Product Id: 543196 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543199 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543202 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543203 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543205 Status: Pending-Resubmitted now
Product Id: 543206 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543207 Approved
Product Id: 543209 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543210 Approved
Product Id: 543212 Approved
Product Id: 543213 Approved
Product Id: 543214 Status: Pending-Resubmitted now
Product Id: 543219 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543220 Status: Pending-Submitted
Product Id: 543223 Approved
Product Id: 543226 Approved
Product Id: 543227 Approved
Product Id: 543228 Approved
Product Id: 543232 Approved  
Product Id: 543233 Approved
Product Id: 543234 Approved

Now these were all posted same day, and the reviewer reviewed them all at the same time, my issue is why are some skipped over completely? Meaning some approved and some not even reviewed when they all are in sequence?
 
Secondly when they do get approved they then are put in sequence in my store but clients wouldnt know that they were new if it was a page back or so, becuase by then others have been approved.

I believe the answer is that those you feel were skipped over simply went into a different reviewers queue.  Some of it is that the sequential order of the numbers in this list has gaps, so there are cards from other artists in between those you uploaded and that may mean that your card is with a different batch being reviewed by a different person.
 
As to your 2nd comment, you have the option of choosing what your customers see.  If you go to your Global Preferences in the Administrative Settings, you can choose to set your store to show New Cards first all the time.  You can also go to Manage Store >> Arrange Gallery and put all the cards you want on your front page up front.

Doreen, I am well aware of how the settings work, and i have them set correctly, but you are wrong.
 example: card placement in the store
 
1 2 3 4 5 6  
7 8 9 10 11 12
 
if  1 3 6  9 11 12 are approved first they state new,  
but if 2 4 5 7 8 10 are approved 3 days later they do not show up as this order:
 
2 4 5 7 8 10  
1 3 6 9 11 12
 
they appear in this order:
1 2 3 4 5 6  
7 8 9 10 11 12 and they all say new
 
It has occurred this way ever since i have been here.
 
Secondly, I think that what is happening, is the reviewer may not know or goes back, or places the cards in a recategorize section and approves the perfect ones first, as today those missing i mention all asked me add additional cats for resubmit.
 
BTW do you work for GCU?, you seem to answer everyone's questions, I placed this in support for admins to answer.

It seems to me that the forum is a place to help each other, as that has always been the case when I had a question.  Therefore I was only trying to offer a bit of help on a Sunday night when the staff were not in.

You're correct, the reviewer likely approved the ones that they were sure about and may have passed the others on to another member of the review team before the cards were returned to you.  
 
As for the sequence that they are displayed in your store, if your store is set up to display your newest cards first, then they will be displayed in descending order by product id, and not the order in which they were approved.  We don't have the ability to display the cards in the order that they are approved, but as Doreen kindly noted you can use the Arrange Gallery tool to correct the order once the cards are approved.

Thanks Shaun, thats the answer i was looking for, they are displayed by ID not by approval... Thanks so much for letting me know.
