Custom Request Help
Dec 21st, 2009, 8:07pm

I've received a custom request for one of my cards...I don't think it is going to be possible but what the customer wants me to do is to convert the card into an ecard....how would I do this since GCU no longer do ecards? Do I have any other options? If I can't do the ecard through GCU do any of you artists know of I site where I can upload and create my own ecard. The customer is willing to pay.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Cheryl

Ne'mind.  Smiley I think I've found a work around using GCU for my own e-cards by reading through the forum posts. Have replied to customer and if she's happy with my solution we can go from there.

Cheryl,
Curious as to what you ended up doing- I had the same request and wondered what to do with it.

Hi Moonie

Seems we have two threads going on this topic so I'll just copy my post here from the other thread:

Here's what I did....go here

http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/ecard/ephoto.asp

Artists can use their own images to create an e-card....you can put the customers details in instead of your own in the name and email address fields.

Get the customer to email you the details of the recipients names and email addresses. The message they want on the inside and the date she wanted them sent out.

I told my customer to get back to me if she wants to go forward with this and gave her a price that I thought was reasonable....the price I gave was per each recipient.

I gave her my paypal address and told her that the payment had to be in before I sent out the e-cards.

It sounds like a lot to do but it's not really.

Hope this helps you some and Happy Holidays to you too!

Cheryl

PS Mindy says that there are 3 of us contacted by this one customer. (Michelle)
