I shut mine down daily too.  I find I get software problems, esp. with Photoshop, if I leave my computer on for extended periods.
 
I don't mind having to sign into the forum separately as much as the fact that when I do it takes me to my account page.  Then I have to come back to the forum and try to figure out which category the tread was in that I wanted to respond to, then find the tread.  
 
Shaun - maybe you could request a change so that when we click the email link to go to the tread, then have to sign in, that it takes us directly back to that thread instead of this long-winded loop.  Or, as I requested before, at least change the email message so it actually says which category of the forum the thread is in.
