GCU on Twiitter
Nov 14th, 2009, 2:37pm

My email inbox is constantly filling-up with forum submissions. But instead of the content all I get is the link back to here. In my humble opinion this is counter-intuitive. I know Twitter has a 140 character limit but are there any plans for GCU to use Twitter vs. linked emails for intra-artist communication?

Thanks

I hope not as I prefer the notifications coming to my inbox Smiley

I'm with you Bits!  Though I am socially networked in a variety of ways, Twitter just does not  do it for me. Andrew you can select which, if any, of the forum threads you want to be notified of.  GCU has a great forum tool allowing you to make the choices that work for you.

Thanks Doreen, I have filtered some forum posts using the GCU tool. May have to drill-down more on the client-side.

Hi there!

I'm very new here...still waiting for a bunch of cards to be approved. I like the current forum setting as well BUT I still believe that Twitter is a great tool. GCU should use it to reach customers and so should we as card artists.

I really like Twitter...on the other hand I absolutely HATE Facebook...lol. I get so much spam, unwanted emails, unwanted invites, mundane posts about someone racked up points of some game, etc. blah! I like with Twitter its just a few sentences, it doesn't latch on to my address book like Facebook and its short and sweet. Great for quick notifications of new cards released, promotions, sales, or you can even get a bit more personal if you like.

But with the artist forum I like as is.

No tweet's for me either, I like the forum. Cheesy

On the subject of Twitter, and the blog also, things seem to have come to a grinding halt Huh
How about tweeting up the photo cards, there should be a nice blog in that too....Felix are you there? Anyone?

Agreed...forum will stay the same.

We do have a Twitter page for GCU to Shoppers.  And have just submitted the Photo Cards to be tweeted this week.

Agreed, the blog has been a bit neglected.  We'll see what we can do there.  Thanks for the nudge.  Smiley
