Thanks Kathleen for posting this...it was indeed interesting, and fun!
Tom I did it first with www.greetingcarduniverse/avisnoelledesigns and got the 47 score with 1 inbound link...same as you. I missed off the http:// as the example didn't show it and I don't think it made any difference.
This information was more for GCU to read through to see how they're doing than for me, as it isn't my personal website, and they need to brush up on a few things according to the information I read.
I have 3 Google indexed pages according to this report. However I haven't got that many cards compared to some, so I assume it's counting pages of cards. It says we have far too many images...I had a chuckle at that!
However...I did it again, and used the artist.greetingcarduniverse/avisnoelledesigns and this time I got 50 with 0 inbound links. The info was slightly different. This time my indexed pages were 2 as opposed to 3.
I noticed it took 'forever' for the result to finally process...as if it were having trouble, but then....I did my Zazzle store. The score appeared almost instantly, and it was a 91
Zazzle has been around longer, and scored highly on just about everything, they have covered all the bases. Tom, if you haven't already, I recommend you get a card store there! You'd do great!
I had a Google page rank of 3 with Zazzle and with GCU?...it showed N/A
So all in all, GCU needs to brush up on some stuff, their domain expires next August, and they said in this report you should have a long expiry date 'cos even that counts against you! You might 'go under' is the perception I guess.
Plus the GCU blog didn't show as being found!
So good information for them to take in and devote some time to.
It's all very enlightening, I'm looking around right now to get my own website, and I'm glad I did this as it's helpful to see what makes a difference out in cyberspace! Thanks again Kathleen.
