Not receiving any store visits (Read 1309 times)

Robert_138167 GCU Newbies artist Posts: 10	Not receiving any store visits Sep 16^th, 2009, 7:47am Hi Everyone, I am new to this! I have up loaded quite a few cards for bridesmaids, which are one of the largest searched for. I am not receiving any store visits. I have my keyword on the cards. I don’t know if there is something else I need to do? Any help would be appreciated. New kid on the block.

Store visits can be hard to come by. Shoppers usually browse the cards, clicking on one's they like or can't read without enlarging them, but rarely come directly to the store.

When they do visits are counted for every page they visit (unless something has changed recently) so when you get visits you often get them in packs.

Unless you are driving visitors from outside GCU don't expect to see lots of store visits.

Don't worry, the sales will come even if the visits don't.

Hello Robert,

Jeff's right, store visits are sporadic. Are you getting any clicks on your cards?

Two things I have found helpful

First make full use of keywords and titles, eg #480007 Flower Girl,
to keywords you could add, invitation, request, bridal party, white dress, girl,
To the title; Flower Girl request, or Will you be my Flower Girl?

Second, try designing some for a specific relation, niece, cousin, etc.

Would be lovely if we could have Cories thingies stickied for new people and don't have to go rummaging, she has some good advertising etc stuff.

You could join twitter, and GCU is on facebook so joining that might give you a bit more hits, twitter just mention it now and then with a link to your store, after I put up some new cards on both I do get more visitors, starting a blog also could help.

I am sure you will get visits soon though, takes a little while for people to find you, but hang in there

Robert,

What Jeff said is correct -- most of our sales do not come from store visits but from searchs. I've just looked through your cards and they're lovely. You should do well, but you need to add more key words. For instance, the great Bridesmaid card with the shoes: add feet, toes, toe nail polish, bows, sandals, shoes, dresses -- for starters.

On the nice Retirement card add: globe, map, travel, tour -- you get the idea.

Just look at the image and try to imagine what word someone out there on the internet might type in to find your card.
