using promotional offer on buying own cards?

Hi all!

I apologize if this has been addressed before... I did try to search for the info and if I missed it - I am sorry. I want to buy several of my own cards which I know I can do using the artist discount. But, can I apply the current promotional offer to that purchase as well (10% off for Labor Day)?

Actually the only promotions that artists should be using in combination with their artist discount code is free shipping.

GCU creates special promotions to attract new shoppers, not to reduce artists' purchases beyond their artist discount. Please see here as discussed re: promotional marketing:

Specifically....
"Artists can continue to use their artist discount code with a free shipping promotion but not also with an additional promotion."

Checkout does not prevent artists from using multiple promotions and we have not warranted the need to spend programming time on preventing it. We trust that artists will not take advantage of this. If we begin to see abuse we will have to reprimand specific artists, possibly remove the ability to use such promotions or create the programming logic to enforce the rules.

This very clearly applies to any Friends & Family free card offers. These are NOT intended to be used by shoppers or artists themselves but to be shared with their extended network to attract new shoppers to GCU.

well then can someone quickly get back to me to rectify the situation? I placed an order for my own cards using both the artist discount AND the holiday discount and it went through... so I'll need to have it adjusted. Considering the difficult economy, every penny saved is important to me. Since I'm totally new at this and didn't know, I hope that this mistake won't be held against me and I'll be sure not to have it happen again...
