Manage card positions in the Gallery

Dear Administrators:  Smiley
I would like to make a suggestion about the management of the position of the cards on display at the gallery.
 
I think it is fantastic that a client can look at the various categories of cards offered by the artist. However, when I open, for example, birthday cards everything shows up without any specific order by age or any other order at all which is quite disturbing and discouraging to browse.  
 
Would it be possible to come up with some device for the artist to organize her/his cards under some logic browsing approach in the different categories?  
 
These are two examples: The client would see the card offer either by age or by card pattern. That is: She/He would see all the offers for the age 16 in whatever pattern the artist has at the moment or she/he would see all the offers in a specific pattern.
 
I believe this would make the client browsing much easier and a more appealing experience. That is, the site would be client friendly.
 
May be the programmers will come up with some neat solution on this.  Smiley

We all agree Leonilde, this is definitely on their list.  It's been requested by practically every new member  Smiley
 
I would be THRILLED if we could have 'galleries', 'sections', or some way to better showcase our stores. However there are a few choices you have in what you showcase on the first several pages.  If you go to Arrange Gallery you can reorder them (tedious and manually), you can sort them and then change the view to show Artist Choice so that your customers see how you have arranged them.

The only problem with changing the view to Artist's Choice is that the next person into the store can change it to Newest or Most Popular and whichever view that person is on, when they leave, that's the way it appears for the next person. I think that is correct, anyway. Wish we could do it differently, too, but it apparently is low on the priority list.

Well, I was wrong. I did some checking and the preference that each individual has follows them to every store. For example, if I put any store at Artist's Choice, and then go to another store, that's how I see it there, too. If I change to Newest, then that's how I'll see subsequent stores. And, if I click Most Popular, that's the one that each following store will be. So, although I would like to leave my store at Artist's Choice for people entering and browsing, their preference will be how they see it.

There is a very simple, elegant way to arrange our stores.  Leave them as they are and let our visitors decide how they wish to see them.  LOLSmiley  Visitor friendly means we get to pick how to view things, which is as it should be.  A locked sort would likely confuse our clients anyway.

That's easy to say when you only have 12 cards in your store...wait until you have over 600 or 10,000 like Whisper  Grin

Hi Doreen,
Thank you for your feed back. I have rearranged all the pages in the artist choice but it still does not affect how they show up in the various categories. May be they will program a nice solution. We all want to please and facilitate the client’s experience.
