Priscilla,
A window to look out at...now that would be nice if my computer faced that way, unfortunately it faces the other way, to a wall! Roll Eyes
I don't have PS, but I have Corel PSP and a couple of others, and they get me by...but I'd love one day to try PS...I've heard it's a bit confusing, but I enjoy a challenge!

Trees and sky, T.V., and a computer, now you enjoy stimulation that's for sure!! Smiley
Keep "plugging away" Priscilla....your cards are beautiful!

Huh  Over a week to get 3 of 5 cards through! . . . that's twice as long as I've ever waited. . .and the 2 returned ones? . . .  change them to be cards I didn't intend to design so they will be seen or resign to lose them in the general   category, less likely to ever be seen.  undecided   I miss the old days  cry   I understand about not categorizing a card for what it "can" be   Roll Eyes  but to have to always spell out exactly what it IS is limiting to both designers AND customers. . .  and of the 7 cards I sold this week 5 were at 29¢ ea.  Tongue

Just "venting," it hasn't been a very good week for me on many other levels.  Thanks for listening,  I'll get over it.  I know the reviewers have a tremendous job.

Ernestine, I feel your pain & I also feel it is taking longer & longer to get approvals! Nothing against the approvers, I just believe that we have become so jammed with wonderful artists ... that the poor reviewers are overwhelmed with the task!!

Smiley When I 1st joined, many months ago, I was getting approvals, sometimes, the SAME day & usually the next day!! Now it's at LEAST 3 days and sometimes 4 to 5 days!! Sad

When we create a card or cards ... and push that final button ... we can't wait for it to be approved so some wonderful shopper who is searching for that perfect card (of ours) will find it. When it doesn't happen, for days & days ... we get frustrated and a little sad  cry

I hate that it is taking soooooo long to get our "babies" out there to be loved & adopted & when it takes "forever" ... it sometimes feel like we are being left behind.

I have only praise for our reviewers!  Smiley They do a wonderful job. I had almost 100 cards approved in one batch, the other day!! I think they need help, if it is taking so long to get our product up & for sale!!

I LOVE GCU & creating here. I love how we artists have a place where we can vent, praise, & talk to one another ... but creating a card on zazzle takes minutes!!!! You create it & a few minutes later ... it's up for sale!! Talk about instant gratification!! Why can't GCU have a process like that & just have reviews check them after approval & if they find any that are "bad", let the artist know. I have had a couple that on zazzle be removed after being put up for sale, for various reasons, & that was cool. They just send you an email that for whatever reason, it has been removed from zazzle! A much easier way ... I think!

I guess we will just have to get used to loooooong approvals on GCU, unless they add more reviewers or they check out how zazzle approves & adopt their way of approving!!  Huh

Good luck, Ernestine & any other artist in the looooong approval line!!!!!  Shocked

Hi Ernestine,
I too feel your pain...and can relate to it. It is frustrating to have to wait so long to get an approval and then find out that your card was not approved after waiting so long.  I know the approvers have way to much to do, so maybe they need to relook at the approval process.  I too love the "instant gratification" you get at Zazzle with an almost instant approval, but also understand the goal here is to have a good shopping experience, so I understand a short wait, but when it gets to be a week or over you start to get discouraged.  My problem lately is that I am designing cards like others have designed but for some reason mine seem to signal the need for a new category for my card and all the ones before so I have to keep waiting a long time.  I think the wait is a real issue that GCU needs to be concerned with because artists need to have a good experience at all levels at GCU.  Don't get me wrong, I love GCU but I see there is something that needs to be looked at here and could be improved on.
Ernestine, I hope your week improves for you and you get some of those wonderful .56 sales (lots of them), as your artwork is something which I admire.
Kathy

I agree entirely!

I have 33 cards waiting for approval now - 22 of them are over 4 days old.

I also notice the All Cards section doesn't even get updated on a weekly basis - I've many more cards than it currently reads.

I think it is true that there are so many wonderful artists now on GCU that the Approvers just can't keep up!!!  Smiley
