I want to promote your cards/store on my website

Hi everyone - I am always looking at ways to promote myself AND others by providing great content for my website viewers. So I am currently on a mission looking for FUNNY CHRISTMAS CARDS from GCU artists.

What's in it for you? You get to showcase your Funny Christmas Cards AND your GCU store!!!

What's in it for me? I get to offer great content for my website viewers - I don't do 'Funny Cards' so no competition!

What do you need to do? upload a picture of one or more of your Funny Christmas Cards (max size 800 x 600 pixels) - include your GCU store/name so I can direct people to you. Tell us about you/your cards/what inspired you etc...

Why Funny Christmas Cards? because that is a searched for keyword - I am looking for artists now, so when we hit Christmas we will have some cards and relevant stores to direct visitors!

OK, I submitted one. Thanks.

A few problems though:

1. The ideal image size should be identified
2. The form doesn't identify where to add the card or store links. I added it directly
3. Once submitted, I found I could only edit once. I made an edit error while trying to convert the card link to html and now it is goofed up and I can't fix it. Can you?
4. I wanted to cancel the submission after my mistake in #3 and start over, but couldn't.
5. How many can we submit?

Please advise!

Hi Tom - Gee thanks - I have put it up on the site and it looks great!

The link to your GCU card store works FINE - but yes, the direct link was 'goofed up' Wink

so I deleted it

This is all quite new to me, so I may not be able to answer all your question straight away - but will have a go:

1. size limit 800 x 600 pixels (so I have been informed by my hosting company SBI)
2. Thanks for adding your GCU links directly - I can also do this manually if people aren't sure how to do it - just put your store name and i can add the html
3. Yes, only able to edit once - can't do anything about that sorry - so pays to get it right first time (but if someone totally goofs up, I can delete it my end)
4. same as 3
5. Ha! had to laugh at that one - can just imagine my life getting VERY busy if I'm not careful how I answer THIS question!! So let's keep it to say 3 for now, I might review this later... Wink

We have had two submissions now - hope they bring you some traffic - especially at Christmas!

Waiting to hear back from my hosting company re size of graphics - I will post it at the top of this forum when I receive the info (to save everyone from having to search my posts)

Remember you can comment on the Funny Christmas Cards too!

FWIW, the one I uploaded was 730p x 500p. I screen saved the "Large image" from GCU then added the little fake card-back and a 50p white border. I do believe that Jane's site then proportionally scaled this 730p x 500p image to fit into a common "smaller" size.

Yes, what happened was when I submitted it the first time I then clicked one of the embedded links in the "preview" step to see if the link worked. The link worked but then when I went "back" to look at the submission it said there was an error, so I resubmitted.

It's always something!!!
