confused on category?
Jul 14th, 2009, 11:06am

I made a new card
Product ID: 457844

the background image is a sort of collage of a lunar eclipse that i photographed last year  - basically its several pics of the moon in different stages of eclipse - looks pretty cool - i could use it for lots of different occasions.

here's my problem
i put it under general youth for birthday.... because i couldnt find any other appropriate category

i would like to use the image again for other cards but don't know how to categorize cards that are a little different - i am afraid just using the general categories... cards will never be seen?

should i be requesting new categories as i make each card?

I'm confused too. But it's getting a little better after I  just did 3 resubmits. Each time I work on my gallery, I learn something new. Some of the errors were regarding placing in the proper, or a better category. When I revised with the suggestions sent to me, I could see why. At least, for the most part. I looked more closely at the whole list of categories and the breakdowns...can't remember how I found it or where..and after today I think I'll study it some more.

Blessing to you.

Hi Louise and Judy,

Louise, since I can't view the card until its approved, I am trying to help through guessing at your dilemma.  Here's what I do, when I create a card it usually is because I had one idea in mind for the category of that card.  Once that decision is made, I then go search through the categories with that image in mind and make a note of all the other categories it will work in with a change of wording.  I usually limit myself to six with varied wording and therefore varied categories (unless it's a sister, aunt, mother kind of thing).

So, yes each card should have a separate category, but only the words you choose will determine whether the reviewers agree to allow into that category.  Browsing the categories with the basic image done, I find helps inspire me to create cards that I would not have thought of on my own.

I don't know if I've helped you, or helped answer your questions!  I tried though!  Roll Eyes
