Adding profile and bio
Jul 11th, 2009, 7:26am

I am a newbie and try to set up my storefront with little luck. I am not able to see my profile ,bio or header name ,even though I saved it. My profile picture worked. The other question is...How do you get the keywords on your storefront? Any ideas? Thank you so much!

Hi Christian, welcome to GCU!!

Well, I've looked at your store and my guess is with your black background, the black ink won't show up  Roll Eyes

The keywords on your storefront are automatically collected from the keywords you use when you create your cards, they too will show up with more cards and perhaps a lighter B/G.

Hope this works!!

Just in case you didn't know, you have to save it in two places. You save your changes when you edit your bio, etc., then, at the bottom of the Store Layout page, you have to save, again. You may have already done it that way, but I know that I didn't realize it when I first started. I thought that saving it when I edited it took care of changing the whole page.

It's all trial and error.  I would have your store front in one browser and make changes in another and go back and froth to see your changes.

Everything is in the "Administrative Settings" page.  "The Basics" tab is where you set up your profile, which it looks like you've done that.  Now you need to "Looks and Design" and change the text colors so you can view your bio/profile.  Just play around with the colors until you find what you are looking for.  Have fun with it.

To add the keywords, go to "Look & Design" tab and "Store Layout & Content" and make sure that keywords is checked.  You can drag the sections around so they are on your site the way you want them presented.

I hope that helps.  I can't wait to see more of your work =)

Hi Christian, welcome from another newbee.

Go to Store Colors under Manage Store Look & Design heading and under the module tab you will see where you can change the color of your text inside the module.  "Module text:"
Hope that helps.  I really like the dark background too and took me forever to figure it out.

Good luck,
Kati
