I just noted the same issue.  I saw that I sold the following card, but didn't get an email.  I'm not worried about clogging my inbox, so I still love to see emails saying "you've sold a card"!  I don't think I saw it in my tally of sold cards, either, but I could be wrong.

The recently sold cards on the home page said I sold this card at 6:41 p.m. on June 16 to Arlington Heights, Ill., but I didn't get an email for it.

I just checked my store report, and I didn't get credit for the card sold to Arlington Heights, Ill., on June 16.  I sold another card that day, for which I received an email, and it appears in my store as the only sale of the day.  Could someone at GCU check on this to make sure that we are getting credited for our sales. Thanks!

Hi Girls....same thing happened to me!  I just noticed it on the sold cards thingie, and it was on June 16th also, to Arlington Heights! Shocked  I didn't get an email either, but like you Catherine I sold a different card on same day, but that's the only one showing up in my store.  If you watch the sold cards go by, you'll see a lot of cards by different artists going to Arlington Heights on June 16th...??
I hope someone is checking into it... Huh

Hello,

This would have been for order 125949 on GCU, which was a reorder for a package of cards that was lost by FedEx during delivery, which is why commissions were not given for this order.  There were about 26 different cards in this order being mailed to Arlington Heights, Ill.

I believe the Recently Sold box is pulling from all orders processed by our site which includes reorders.  Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Marion,
Thanks for letting us know.  We've made note of this and will look into it and make sure all emails are being sent.

Thanks, Shaun, for clearing this up.  I knew that the apple blossom collage card was the same card sent to Arlington Heights before.  I was hoping that they liked it so much they wanted another, but I was afraid that something else was going on instead..... Too bad the first order got lost!

Congratulations!!!! for being successful on GCU. I have been with GCU for about 2 months, I show about 65 cards in my online store and I unfortunately haven't sold 1card yet. I only see people cliks on it.  I feel so disappointed because I put so much thoughts and time on it. I don't see the fruits of my efforts yet. So I am wondering if you or anyone else can you give me some suggestions to improve the chance for me to sell my cards or if I do something wrong?... www.greetingcarduniverse.com/moniquestyle

Thanks for your help!

Hi Monique,
First don't be discouraged, very few folks are making sales right at the start. I found it takes a while and is a constant learning process.
I would say have the design of your cards and the wording on the front be as specific to a category as possible.
I found this helps, then it's like fishing, you cast out and wait! Cool

Monique, hi!

Pamela is right. Blank cards are not easy to sell. PERSONALISE them. Start by taking each one of your blank cards and give them a real purpose for example all your flower photos would make beautiful birthday cards or Thank you cards - there are many many subcategories in just these 2 categories to keep you busy. As well, your candle card could be for encouragement, sympathy/condolences.
Secondly, improve and expand your keywords. Keywords are HUGELY important and will bring shoppers to your store. Read everything that Mindy has posted in the forums about keywords, categories and the importance of purpose and keywords.

If you spend some time doing this I am sure you will see results. Good Luck!
