Denise
Personally, I would not expect it to actually be embossed, but then being familiar with the process to produce cards it's hard to say what the expectation would be for a customer.
I have some cards which are designed to give the appearance of metallic gold or silver. I wasn't sure if the customer would think they were actually printed in metallic ink so I added a note in the Artists notes stating the design gives the illusion of gold or silver but is not printed in metallic ink.
I just thought it would be very  easy to think that metallic inks could be used, I think the expectation that the card is actually embossed is less likely.

Pamela:  That would be a note added in the square underneath the pic of card when you make it, like adding key words, categories, etc....right?  Huh

Yes Neva, that's the box.
It's a great opportunity to give some background info on a photo or card, suggest alternate uses or as I did clarify something. I know some folks use it to send a note to the reviewers but I don't trust my memory to delete after it's approved and it is seen by the customer, so I don't usually do that. Smiley One less thing to worry about! Wink

This discussion makes me wonder if the iridescent color on some of my "bugs" should carry the caveat that, when printed, the card may not show that quality.  Thoughts?

Denise, you make a good point.  If one of my cards has a lot of 'layers' so to speak, I usually write, in the artist notes section, something about "visual texture,"  or "appearance of," to alert the customer that it is all illusion.  Perhaps there is some data on customer comments and/or reactions to the appearance of the cards.  Really, those scrapbook, layered cards have printed nicely for me, so, I think that most customers will be really happy when they see them.
