Father's Day
May 11th, 2009, 9:06pm

What do you say we generate a little food for the search engine's crawlers?  And perhaps feed off each other at the same time?  Let's show some of our new Father's Day creations.  Often times one good idea spawns dozens of other good ideas!
I'll show you mine, if you'll show me yours...
Here is my latest and favorite (for the moment  Roll Eyes) Father's Day card.

Now, I can't wait to see your favorites.   Cheesy   kiss

Wow, Sue, great photography!  That's awesome!  Wonderful ART, expecially with the text added!  Wink

Here's mine for those great Farmer Dads out there.  I also have the same card in other relationships if you know of some Farmer Dads in your world. (Grandpa, Uncle, Son, Brother, Dad)

Sue, that is an exceptional card,  Smiley It deserves to be featured somewhere in mailings or the picks page.

Tom, The scope of your family photos never ceases to amaze me and also your wit! Love the farmer card, where else is anyone going to find a 'farmer' Father's Day card? Smiley

I have to get busy with Father's Day but I do have a series for the Military Dad's out there. I took the photo locally when the Cherry trees were just starting to bloom, about two weeks ago.

I hope some of them get to our hard working troops overseas.

Pam - consider adding "Military Dad" to the card title and even to the image text -- it will be caught by search engines and by Military Family shoppers more that way than it is now, imo.

Nasser has said that the card title is critical to most search engines.

Great card!!

Thanks so much Tom, I will definitely add that to the keywords and I guess I can at this point add to the front text because we do still have the option to change the image. Smiley I shall take a look.
I am also going to ask if they can combine the two categories 'From' and 'to' Military deployed into one as 'Military' because with the new set up the only obvious category is the from deployed military. The to section is under 'occupation specific' and very few will to look in there.
Pamela

Update. Misread the first time, I added to the title as you suggested. Thanks again Tom.

Those are all great creative cards that speak to a wide range of fathers, some of whom often get ignored.  That's one of the many reasons why you GCU artists are so fantastic.  I only have three Father's Day cards so far, and I'd show one to you, but I can't figure out how to get the address. I can only get a thumbnail.

Catherine:  The easiest way for me is to go to the page... copy the http address.  go to your reply here and paste it in.  If there is another way, guys, let me know.

Thanks, Nan!  It worked beautifully.  I didn't think of copying and pasting the whole page. I was just trying to capture the one card.  Grin

In the photo are my son's shaving materials, which he bought when he and some of his friends decided to shave the old-fashioned way with a straight-edge razor.  That lasted about six months.  Then they all grew beards.  Now, they are shaving again, but I think they have abandoned the straight edge razor.

Very nice, Catherine! Makes me think of my Papa and the way he shaved.
By the way, if you want just the one card, go to the link you gave us, then click "Large View", and copy and paste the URL from that page.
from one "Chatty Kathy" to another!  Wink
Kathy
PS. I had the doll, too! Wish I still did!

Delores, what a great photo of the egret, and I loved what you wrote inside.  Birds have some of the strongest families, and are beautiful, too!

Thanks, Kathy, for your comment on the shaving card for your instructions on how to get the link for a single card.  I wish I had my Chatty Cathy, too.  And my bouffant-haired Barbie with the black striped swimming suit.....

Beautiful cards, Delores and Barbara! That egret is so beautiful with the snowy white feathers, De. And the baby and dad picture is so evocative! Makes me wish, ever so briefly, for another little one! (But then, I regain my sanity and the wish is gone!  Smiley  )

Here's mine.  Actually, my mother took the pic but I thought it would make a great card.
