I think of a notecard as being smaller, AND blank. I don't know that people would think of a 5x7 card that is blank as a notecard, but come to think of it, I don't think anyone really knows! For years I've been calling my blank 5x7's 'art cards' to distinguish them from my smaller cards, which I called 'notecards'. I have customers pick up my packets of 5x7 card collections wondering what they are. Are they a print? a plaque, maybe a baby teeshirt? "Oh! They're postcards." Everyone has a different definition.

My previous explanation referred to cards outside of GCU, whether my own that I make by hand or those one finds in  stores. I think GCU is calling blank cards by both terms: blank card and note card. At GCU they are 5x7 regardless.

I was wondering/hoping if GCU made the smaller cards...so they are all 5x7?

As for blank or saying something inside?? For me it tends to start with the joke or something I want to say...I don't have any blank inside cards as yet - but in my Artist Notes section I also type in optional jokes to use in case the customers don't like what I have or want to customize it to the recipient - my humor tends to be campy and silly but a friend of mine said he liked my cards but there wasn't anything appropriate to give to relatives  Cheesy I was like 'Hey, I'm just starting out - give me time...I'm sure I'll branch out eventually...' stay tuned...

Robert, I think you have a really good idea with giving alternate verses for the customer to choose.  Wink
I think you are more likely to get a sale by doing that. I may have to start doing some of that, myself!

I like the idea about offering alternate verses. I had a card where I didn't want to change the front but wanted to add it with a different verse in the same category which wasn't possible. But giving the customer a choice of a different verse solves this problem.
