Greetings
Jun 29th, 2008, 9:29am

Hello, I found this site a few weeks back and found it very interesting, i never thought about greeting cards before so the more i read the more interested i got.

My images are mostly photography and digital art and thought it may work with the greeting card industry. I don't have much to put in my store yet because everything i have scanned already needs to be resized, text added etc.

I uploaded my first artwork when first creating my store but i'm not sure it was received, though it said it automatically accepts the first one, when finished and it was suppose to take me to my homepage after my first uploaded imagel it took me to the GCU homepage instead and when i went to my home page nothing was there so i had to redo the content again but i'm not sure my artwork was ever received especially since its not showing on my home page.

So my question is should i wait the 24 hours that it would normally take for acceptance or should i go ahead and re-upload it?

thanks for any help in advance.
-Richard

Welcome Richard,  I too am new.

It seems you do have a shop because I clicked the link and went there.  You are right however because you have no images yet.

Click the link on top where it says manage your shop, then when you get to that area, click the link that say create a card.  Browse your computer, pick an image, upload it.  If it says "BEST" next, press Select, then follow the instructions from there.

BTW... if you don't see the words "manage your shop" you must be logged in to see it.

Sometime it will take a day or so, however before your card is approved by the staff here.  Sometime it will take just a few hours or moments.

I am sure someone else will come along with much more experience than I and give you even better advise.

hello Richard,
try this:
1) log in
2) go to manage store
3) click on images and cards (blue heading)
there you have, starting from the top, several choices.
One of them is : create a card. The other one is "manage cards".
Click manage cards. If you have uploaded your card correctly, it should be showing under "pending" or "approved". Under manage cards you can find all of your cards that are correctly uploaded, approved or pending.
If your card is not in manage cards, it means the upload was not successful.
Go to create a card, upload, click on select and follow instructions from there.
After doing it a couple of times you'll be able to do it in your sleep  Cheesy
Happy creating, your profile picture looks real neat! Nice digital work!
cheers, barbara

Smiley Hi Richard and welcome!  I'm not sure if this will be helpful, but it's not enough to just upload the card.  Once it is uploaded, you have to "create" it.  In the create a card section, click on the image you want to use for a card and it will take you to the create a card page where you will enter title, keywords, categories, etc.  Hope this helps.  Have a great day!

thanks everyone for your help and warm welcome, i went and re-uploaded it and now it shows as pending approval so i think i got it now. I had to run out after my original post thats why i'm a bit late on re-uploading.

it's a "welcome home" card so not really geared towards a specific category although i did check the adult 18-34 group but it could be for any gender or age really.
oh well i'll find out soon enough i suppose if its approved.

thanks again   Smiley

Hi and welcome Richard.   I know it can be a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, and it won't take long, you'll be creating cards with ease.  This is really a great site! Smiley
