pixel size logo image????
Jun 21st, 2008, 3:15am

hi everybody, i'm not so computer savvy, so here comes a dumb question:
i want to change the logo on my storefront, so that the pic covers the entire width of the space. but after uploading i only get a small longish square. what is the pixel size for storefront logo images?  what is the "background image" is that something different? it now looks kind of funny and i'm not very happy with the look, i tried normal square pics, they work fine - but only as squares. i want a wide "banner" size pic that covers the whole length of the storefront.
thanks for help and have a nice, creative weekend. Smiley Smiley Smiley
cheers, barbara

Hello Barbara!

There is a little question mark "?" pop-up thing, next to the Header Logo upload area, that identifes the banner size as 680p wide (max) by 150p tall (max).  I made mine 680p x 138p, and it is full width.

I've not tried the background image thing, but I suspect is will "tile" like a checkerboard behind everything.

hi Tom, thanks!!
I tried it, but my pic is not quite suitable for that size, I noticed. It gets warped and distorted. So I uploaded a different version, will have to make one painting just as a logo, so that it does not look completely lopsided.
I don't post that much, but I love your cards, often have a peek at them, you have a great sense of humor Grin Grin Grin . wishing you lots of success!
cheers, barbara

Hi again Barbara -

Your updated header does look better, though I agree a wider one of your work will really stand out.  You have a nice variety of painting types that are fun to explore.

Thank you for visiting my store.  It gets lonely in there some times, though things have picked up lately.  It was fun to see that one of the most widely searched keyword phrases one day about a week ago was my store name. "Comical Captions."    I made several sales to 3 European locations over a several day period about that same timeframe, so perhaps the word is getting around.

Best of luck to you as well!

TOM
