Card submission approval time
Jan 23rd, 2008, 2:28am

Just wondering when I could expect the last 6 submissions to get approval.
The first ones I did I got notified within 24 hours. But these are over that
now and I thought maybe lost in space somewhere.
Thanks for any help.

Tammy,

Each card is approved manually, so the time varies somewhat.  I've never had it take more than about 36 hours.  I know the staff is now putting "notes" on each submission approval or rejection to help us submitt our work more efficiently, and that there is sometimes a "glitch", especially in the profiling that makes them have to go through and add some things manually.  If you haven't received an approval/rejection notice within 48 hours, I would e-mail to see if there is an issue with your submission.  With all the submissions received, it can sometimes take awhile, it seems that Mindy, Shaun and the others are very careful about making sure everything is correct before releasing them to the public.  Hope this helps

BTW, Welcome to GCU!  and GOOD LUCK!

Thanks so much Lisa for the insight. I can imagine it's a big
task to review each submission.
I also checked out your cards, really great work you do.
Loved them all.

I hope to slowly build up a nice collection too.
Take care

Thanks Tammy!  I'm just a newbie, but having a ball.  The only problem I'm having is focusing on a few cards a day.....I have a list a mile long of what I want to do!   Grin  and also not spending every waking minute on the puter.....this designing stuff is ADDICTIVE!   Roll Eyes

Hugs!

Oh Lisa, do I know how you feel. I have so many neat ideas
for cards, but the time is so lacking. It's getting very addictive for
me too. LOL! Hopefully we will both do well or at least have fun doing
it.
Take care
Tammy
PS Still no word on my last submissions.

As long as we keep designing, and keep submitting, there is no doubt in my mind that good things will happen.

My submissions from yesterday and today are still pending, too.....I am suspecting there may be another issue requiring their attention right now.  If we are patient, it will happen soon!

I agree, this is addicting.  I went nutz today and have 52 pending.  They are for wedding anniversaries and it was a design that I could just put the wedding anniversary year into, not 52 all different design cards.  I'm fast, but not THAT fast. LOL.  I have found that the more cards the better sales, though I did have a bulk order for 75 when I only had a few cards, but that hasn't been the norm for me.  I am amazed that I have one Chinese Year of the Rat Lunar new Year card that has 195 hits and only one sale.  It is a card that I wasn't going to post so I think people are saying"Harry, you gotta see this card, this is the ugliest rat (and card) I have EVER seen!"  Go figure.

Hi Tammy,
Cards have typically been approved within 24 hours, however over the last week or so the daily number of submitted cards has doubled (even tripled on a few days), so it's taking us a little longer than expected to get the cards approved.

I do see that 4 of your pending cards were approved.  The two cards containing a picture of a tractor will need further review to determine if elements of the vehicle infringe upon copyrighted, trademarked and licensed materials.

Thanks so much Shaun I appreciate the response and I figured that
was the issue with so many submissions. That's a good thing, right?
Oh I hadn't even thought about the tractor being an issue. It's my
father in laws and I was going to order one myself for his birthday.
I will keep watching on that one.
Keep up the great work.

Hi Tammy,
Give us until end of day today on the tractor cards, if we feel there's a trademark/copyright issue we'll approve the cards as "Private" which means they'll be in your private store and not in our general card population.

Thanks for your patience!
Mindy
