That's odd. I thought we had 5 or 6 fonts to choose from. And you have a choice of grey, white or black lettering. You put your name anywhere in the corners .of your card. At least that's what mine lets me do.

Hi Cliff,

I can't exactly answer your question, but when I set up my storefront I created a logo that incorporated the image and "fancy font" that I wanted. Therefore, I didn't need to put anything in the header text area. Might be worth considering if it really isn't possible to specify the font in this area.

Cheers,

Rosanne

Hi Cliff!  I did the same thing as Roseanne..I picked out the font and made it fancy and then put it on my design in my graphics program, then uploaded it.  I hope this helps and welcome to GCU, and Happy Holidays!

Hi Cliff!

Welcome to GCU!  Great Art on your cards!

I'm not sure if you've figured this out already, but if you go to your Administrative Settings, under Look & Design - Store Settings is where you upload your logo if you want to make one to show up on the top of your shop.

There is a box there that is called:  Header Text:  If you know a little HTML you can put some text under your logo.

If you go to my GCU Shop you can see that I added some text with a link that takes people back to my portal website.

I dabble at html, it takes me awhile playing with it, but I eventually get it to work or frustrate myself doing it, anyway.

There is a way in html to say what font you want it to show up as, but I have found the shop to be a little strange in how it responds.  I was trying to get only one section on the side to be a different font, but it changed the ENTIRE shop.  That didn't work so I changed it back.

Maybe if Shaun or Mindy could tell us what our minimum and maximum character allowances and font limitations on our shop sections for text writing, maybe we could get a better handle on how to design our shops.

But, if you know a little html, maybe you could play around with it.  There are a lot of people here to that can give you good how to's as well.  Just give us a holler.  Someone will answer, eventually.

Hi Cliff,
Welcome to the forum!  Just so you know, the ideal dimensions for your store front banner are 680x150pixels.   It will fill the area nicely

With regard to the header text, it can be customized using HTML font tags.

If you run into any trouble let us know.  Best of luck with your store!

Hi Shari,
You can use HTML font and inline style tags to customize the text on your page.

You should be able to customize each of the modules that allow for text, but you need to be sure to close any HTML tags that you open, so the customization doesn't carry over to other areas on the page.

There are really no limitations as far as the number of characters that you can add to a section.

If you have any additional questions, let us know.

Shaun
