I am trying to add a welcome message to my store but when I save it (it says the changes have been saved) and look at my page (and also in the preview popup) it's only showing up the first three words of my message. Why won't it let me type a couple of paragraphs?!

Hi Emily,
Can you let me know if you were using any special characters in your text, like an ampersand symbol (&)?  
 
Only plain text is allowed in this area and all special characters as well as that follow will be removed when the text is saved.  
 
We are looking to implement a fix for this issue in the near future.
