The Lord has blessed the Irish
with plenty of good luck,
and as a small reminder
the beautiful shamrock.
Each petal is a symbol
that anyone can see
bear imprints of God's goodness;
Faith, Hope and Charity.
So it can't be forgotten
He colored it in green,
to guarantee its beauty
forever would be seen.
He placed it in great numbers
to dot the countryside,
then gave His final blessing,
a touch of Irish pride.
