Special card for your Birthday
With poetry that came from my heart
I sat here with pen in hand and
Didn't know where to start
It's not easy to sum up my love for you
In a few simple words that rhyme
You have taught me so many things
That I'll value throughout my lifetime
Things like honesty, trust and caring
And to keep your family close
Always offer a helping hand to another
When they are down and need it most
Through your influence and example
Along with your ever growing love
I've grown up to be just like you
And each day, I thank God above
