We’re grateful for a sunny day,
Warm and bright and gay;
And grateful for the gentle rain
Growing flowers in the lane.
We’re grateful for friends and family dear
In celebration and good cheer,
And grateful for the ties that bind
When life has been unkind.
We’re grateful for our time at hand,
For we know not how long we stand.
