Hard to Not Be with You at the Memorial or Funeral with Elegant Design

It was hard to
not be with you.
We wanted to be present
at the memorial service to
share our good memories,
give you a warm embrace, and
provide shoulders upon which to cry.
We are heartsick that it wasn't possible
due to these unusual times
of social isolation for safety's sake.
May you be consoled, however,
in knowing that we think of you often,
and we are here for you, always,
whenever you need us.
