Raccoons prefer to live in wooded areas
with a water source nearby,
eating about 40% invertebrates, 33% plants,
and 27% vertebrates.
However, due to loss of habitat
raccoons have had to adapt to urban areas
where some homeowners consider
them to be pests.
The land we now use was once theirs,
when they raid our garbage cans or damage
our property they are not being malicious
they are merely trying to survive in a
new unfamiliar world.
Today is the perfect time to learn about
these intelligent, magnificent animals
you'll be glad you did
and so will they!
