When a baby elephant is being born, female members
of the herd come to the laboring mother to begin
bonding. The young calf is looked after
by the entire herd. During the first few years,
it receives affection and guidance by the females.
A mother will risk her own life to save her baby.
The care and love given is innate and beautiful.
