Women's Equality Day Card with the World War II Poster We Can Do It
Inside Text:
August 26 of each year is designated as
Women's Equality Day,
honoring the fact that women
in the United States were given
the right to vote on August 26th, 1920,
when the 19th Amendment was signed.
Every president has published a proclamation
for Women's Equality Day since 1971,
when legislation was first introduced in Congress.
