This colorful, modern design is a twist on the traditional apples and honey motif for Rosh Hashanah. We dip apples in honey to symbolize the sweetness we hope the year will bring. This design shows the Jerusalem skyline carved into the apple, with honey dribbled over it. This adds hopes for peace in Jerusalem too. The apple is placed on a decorative honey dish with a spoon full of honey resting on it. It sits on a colorful, patterned tablecloth. The background shows a patterned wall in the background which gives way to a peaceful blue sky with flying doves, symbols of peace. This design represents our hopes for a peaceful New Year, both personally and in Jerusalem.
