We are joining as one family because of our great love for
the same man, your son. Do you know I love you for many
of the same reasons I love him, the fruit of your womb?
And my love for each of you will grow stronger with time,
and all that time brings to our table. The blessings and joys,
the pain and sorrows will come to us individually and
collectively. We will take what comes, united as a family.
And you and I Mother (in-law) will do as the multitude of
women before us has done. We will huddle together and
gather them in under our wings. We will laugh and boast,
pray and coast, and yes, we will love the most.
Oh Mother (in-law) I am so happy at the thought of
becoming a part of your precious family.
