I am currently using a Nikon D200 and a Nikon D80. Each new day is a learning experience with these great cameras. Meanwhile, I am also learning Adobe CS3 and Lightroom 2.
I enjoy capturing scenic moments and family events. I live on the lake, so the view is beautiful from my front porch. Everyday is a different scene. Bald Eagles in winter, boats, sunrises, sunsets, storms, rainbows, are all a part of my everyday world. Living in West Michigan, I love the four seasons. Each season has it's own beauty, scenic views and colors.
I retired earlier than planned, so this extra time gives me a golden opportunity to pursue my love for life, love and natural beauty. I always love the beach and water scenes. Lighthouses have been a special interest of mine for years.
Now that photography has become a passion, everything I experience in life I see through a camera lens. Everything has possibilities, beauty and with some kind of interest.
I enjoy taking and sharing my photography so that others may enjoy life with me.
Family photos are priceless to me. Keeping them updated is so important. One day... it may be all that I have left besides my memories...

I am happy to be "owned" by two rescued Cocker Spaniels, Indie and Bennett - you'll likely see their photos here as well - they are very willing models for their momma! I shoot with a Canon 5D. I was born on the planet Zircon, galaxy of Adnil, in the Earth year 56 BC. I was not happy there. No one was allowed to talk, laugh, play, make friends or draw. Creativity was considered a character defect and was punishable by death! The food was AWFUL. They ate animals. Kittens, puppies, fillies and foals were considered delicacies. I refused to eat, got very ill and skinny. I was banished from the galaxy and ported to Earth in the early 1950's.
Now I can laugh and play, make friends and create. I don't have to eat animals anymore...now I can draw them!
