“Celebrate Life!” is a phrase you’ll hear at my home.
As a cancer survivor, my enthusiasm for life has been recharged. I now appreciate even the smallest of joys. My favorite times include watching turkey and deer gather at dawn and dusk, catching pan fish, or listening to hillbilly music.
Influenced by my Parent’s subtle yet inviting decorating sense, I learned to appreciate color and textures in relationship to design. Although self-taught, my artistic abilities have been shaped by creative friends and the desire to embrace my passion.
Always ready to learn something new, I began to create inspirational artwork drawn from everyday life experiences. My creative expression began with floor cloths, table mats, and wall hangings which evolved into illustrations and paintings. I participated in several National and Local art shows, as well as having commissioned work in both private and public locations.
It seemed natural to continue my creativity through handmade greeting cards which I’d send to family and friends. Encouraged by them to “get your cards out there,” I began to develop a card collection. My intention was to capture on paper what I believe about life: Above all else, life should be fun!
In 2010, Robin Ball Designs was formed. I create, manufacture, and distribute paper products which currently include: stationery, posters, and prints. My collections can be found in retail locations throughout the United States.
As I have experienced a sense of recharge in my life, I hope my creations will do the same for you and give you the chance to share a thoughtful moment with someone special in your life!
Today, like everyday, is a celebration! You can find me with my husband Dikki, and our dog Hunter, relaxing on a ridge overlooking the Ozark Mountain range – where each day is filled with wonder and delight.

Since childhood, Michael has had a fascination with photography but he never pursued it beyond being a hobby. In July 2004 his wife suffered a massive stroke, it was from that time that their lives on took a new direction. Prior to her stroke they were considering the possiblity of full time mission work. However after two mission trips after the stroke it was clear that it would be to difficult for Brenda with the physical limitations. Looking for ways to spend more time together they found photography to be a good avenue. As he developed as a photographer his work moved from a hobby to having a higher purpose and at that time it became art to him. Since that transformation in his purpose he has developed a greater appreciation for the world of art. His work is displayed over forty gallery exhibits and fine art fairs a year. His desire is to show the wonders of God's creation to those who are exposed to his art. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:Romans 1:20

A year or so ago when I became a first time grandparent, I decided to leave the English classroom to assist one on one with a little charmer named Nathaniel and continue as a part time tutor for the same "at risk" students I'd been teaching. In my down time I promised I'd clean out the basement. I looked over clutter, and what did I see? Piles of pictures of old relatives from Tennessee begging to appear on greeting cards.
Currently at home in a quaint Pennsylvania town, my husband and I, native Tennesseans (GO Vols!), have also lived in Alabama, South Carolina, and Texas.
In my other life, I was Anne of Green Gables.

Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario, at the end of my 9th grade year, we moved to Michigan. After graduating high school I moved back to Ontario where I have lived in the Sarnia-Lambton area since 1969.
Sketching and drawing took a back seat to family life and I found my creative expression in cake decorating and teaching all manner of 'confectionery arts' from my home for many years.
I did enjoy an occasional water color class, but had not picked up brush and paints for over 20 years when, in 2008, I decided that I no longer wanted a dedicated schedule running my life.
Since it had been so long, I signed up for a water color class to refresh my skills, then became interested in acrylics and oils as well, enjoying all with equal enthusiasm.
While my main focus in taking pictures began simply as reference for paintings, I have found photography to be a challenging and rewarding art form on its own.

Rod Skidmore resides in Alburtis, Pennsylvania and is a self-taught artist specializing in the medium of watercolor. Before focusing his talent on equine art, Rod worked as an art director in New York City for one of the top ten advertising agencies in the world, on such accounts as Lever Bros., Noxzema Cover Girl, Revlon, etc. This background led to Rod becoming owner of his own agencies in Allentown, Pennsylvania then Portland, Maine where he was introduced to the Sport of Polo.
At the age of 57, Rod Skidmore started playing polo under the guidance of his friend and professional polo player, Eddy Martinez of Georgia. Martinez refused to accept payment for his lessons, and in an effort to return his generosity Rod decided to present him with a painting featuring Eddy playing Polo. Rod’s 10th painting was a commission from the President of Rolex Watch, U.S.A. after which Rod’s popularity gained rapidly in the world of Polo. Rod continued to paint gaining wide acclaim in polo circles, and in a short time received a commission such clients as Andy Busch of Anheiser Busch, Mathias Guarrand-Hermes of Hermes of Paris and many more.. No longer merely a hobby, he began focusing all of his energy on his artwork.
Rod Skidmore’s paintings capture the true essence of the Sport of Polo in scenes from play that put the viewer right in the midst of the game. “I have been told by professional polo players that I accurately paint the Sport of Polo. I suppose that comes from the fact that I did play a little, and I understand the interaction between horse and rider and positioning of players.”
Rod then had interest in the world of Show Jumping, he studied and painted jumpers and is now enjoying the creative flow that comes from the exploration of a new subject. The same attention to detail he displays when painting polo scenes is also evident when he depicts the sport of show jumping.
