About Me:  I am a Bend, Oregon artist and work primarily in water-media because it allows me to build multiple, thin layers of paint, creating depth and texture in my work. I am inspired by the beauty around me: the strength of a single flower, the mystery of a half opened door, or the voluptuous shape of a pear. Over the past several years I have found the patina of weathered materials like clay and stone extremely attractive. I teach art classes in Bend, with a philosophy that encourages each student's individual style.
