Inside Text: Have you been naughty or nice?
Artist: Cisillia Tay
Artist Notes: Austro-Bavarian Alpine folklore tells of Krampus, a half-goat, half-demon, horned figure who punishes children who have been naughty during the Christmas season. In this illustration, we have a suggestion of the face of a horned figure with eerie glowing eyes. Krampusnacht or Krampus Night falls on December 5.

Artist Notes: From Nordic mythology comes St. Nikolas' evil half, Krampus. Krampus Night, on December 5 the night before the Feast of St. Nikolas, is a demonic monster used to scare children into being good. This horned, birch branch-carrying creature is half goat, half beast and present in German history but was once banned due to it's representation of the devil. So, have you been naughty or nice?
