Hanukkah is the most important holiday in the Jewish religion. Hanukkah is known as the Festival of Lights and its history and tradition dates back many thousands of years. The tradition of giving out Hanukkah greeting cards may not be that old but sending someone of the Jewish faith such a card makes for a nice gesture. Many millions of people would agree as this is how many of these Hanukkah cards are sent all over the globe each and every year when the holiday week rolls around.

The symbolism of the holiday is to represent the rededication of the Holy Temple of Jerusalem which occurred during the Maccabean Revolt which occurred 200 years before the birth of Christ. The Maccabees were a Jewish rebel faction that wrested control of Judea away from its occupiers.

The most well known symbol of the holiday is the Menorah which is a candelabrum with eight candle holidays. Obviously, the eight candles are indicative of the eight days of the holiday. Each day of holiday, one candle will be lit until the 8th day has commenced. It's no surprise the majority of our Hanukkah cards feature a menorah in some way!

And, of course, gift giving occurs during the holiday as does the exchange of Hanukkah greeting cards. Since this is such a special holiday of great significance. When sending Hanukkah wishes to a friend of relative, you will want to send one that is highly memorable. This might prove easier than you initially thought since there are so many amazing and excellent Hanukkah cards to choose from.

Certain cards are somber, other cards are whimsical, others present historical imagery, and then there are even certain cards with a minimalist appeal, and then there are custom Hanukkah cards. If there was a moral here it would be that you can find any unique Hanukkah wishes to meet your needs.
