Hi Carol,
I'm happy you got a bit of a lift from your being chosen DOD! Everyone is somewhat down from the incredible times we find ourselves trapped in. Everyone I know is edgy. It will get better of course but until there is a vaccine we all have to be aware.

On the upside they are beginning to recognize me in the liquor store, even with my mask. It's good to be noticed.

Thanks Terri, Lisa and Bruce and everyone again.
I think the fact that its Fathers day today and my Dad would have been 90 this week if he hadnt passed just before Christmas had me a bit down, as well all the bad stuff that seems to be happening at the moment around the world. On the bright side I'm glad in a way he didnt have to see it as he was in a home the last few weeks because of dymentia.
I should stop watching so much of the news as I know there is good stuff happening too, and this virus has certainly brought me closer to people with on line contact. As I keep saying, so glad to be part of the GCU community.

And Bruce, if you have any of that liquor left, you can join me in raising a glass to say cheers to all Dads today and everyone else too. Together we are all keeping each others spirits up! Pardon the pun!

Being Irish, we always have an excuse to say Slainte!

Carol,
I am sorry about your dad... and can understand the difficulty missing him today especially. Your kind spirit shines through in your message and your wonderful card designs.
I agree, that when we can't control what is happening around us, it is good to reach out to friends and loved ones - somehow chatting (online, via text, or phone) can make the world seem a bit brighter.
