Shop Banner
May 14th, 2020, 4:59am

Hi,

I recently updated my shop banner and added a few of my card designs to it. How often do you change your shop banner (if at all?) and what do you put in it?
I was thinking that I could switch up the cards on a quarterly basis... but I would love to hear what other shop owners think works best.

Hope everyone is healthy and happily creating,
Lisa

Hi Lisa, your banner is beautiful. As for me, I have not changed mine since I joined in 2007. LOL.  I think I should make a new one after seeing your lovely one! Wishing you lots of success!  have a great day.  Smiley

Thank you Lisa.
Your banner is so colorful and engaging, it really represents your cards well. And if it works, why fix it? Smiley
Love your Tulip Tranquility card.

I appreciate your feedback, have a great day too!

It looks great Lisa! I've kept mine simple with just text but I probably should add some graphics to it.

Lovely banner, Lisa!   Mary, your banner doesn't need graphics. It's professional and draws the eye right to your card offerings. Smiley

I only change mine about once a year and I no longer put cards on my banner since I like to keep my two stores 'connected' to the SalonOfArt.

That is a great idea Doreen. (Wow - two shops!) I don't know how you manage all of that.

Well, since I am classified as a Master Class Photographer, I didn't feel comfortable creating stock image cards in my main storefront. So I opened Exclusive Creations which is only the GCU Stock Cards so they are exclusively available to GCU and separate from my own photographic and digital designs. Not really more work, just separation of creations. Smiley

Hi Lisa, I love your banner! I haven't changed either of mine in years with the exception of adding my digital awards to them. However, after Doreen's sage advice of keeping 2 stores connected to your brand name, I am going to incorporate my name into my second shops' banner. I had written it in the welcome box but I don't know how many actually read that part.
Thank you Lisa for bringing this up.
And thank you, Doreen for your sensible advice (as always)!

Thank you Betsy! I appreciate your input. It is great to hear how other owners approach their shops. Maybe I will try and switch it up a few times a year around bigger holiday seasons.

Enjoy your afternoon!
