August 2019 Design Challenge - Industry Holiday

In the final of stretch of summer, but it's time to start thinking about the Winter holidays.

August 2019 Design Challenge

Theme: Industry Specific Business Holiday
……………………………………………………………

Requirements:
- ONLY Big Stock cards will be accepted in this challenge.

- Write your own verse, be creative with a message that ties the industry of choice concept with the image you choose and category choice – this will be extremely important in this challenge.

- The judges will be looking for professional quality text layout, typography placement and font combinations in addition to a unique and captivating message that tells the story of the stock image you choose. Your added value needs to wow the judges!

- Blank verse will not be considered for entry in this challenge.

- ONE card per artist

- Submissions must be NEW, no existing designs

- Your designs should differ from those already offered in the category of your choice to offer shoppers a variety of choices, not more of the same.

CATEGORY SPECIFIC CHALLENGE: Business > Christmas Cards > Industry Specific

A little reminder to get your submissions in before 9/1. Don't wait until the last minute!

As usual, we will be accepting submissions through the end of the month (submitted before 9/1). Please note with the U.S. Labor Day holiday observed on Monday 9/2 any late submissions (8/30, 8/31) may not be reviewed until 9/3 but will still be eligible for the challenge.

Additionally, due to the holiday, judging will begin 9/6.

Thank you so much, Mindy and GCU Team! And a big Thank YOU and hugs to Doreen -- she very kindly guided me on how to submit Stock Cards and encouraged me to enter the Challenge. I very much appreciate the opportunity to participate in this community of such creative and talented artists. Congratulations to Jay and Susan as well -- the fallen Christmas tree and their clever verse for the insurance industry made me laugh out loud!

Again, thanks so much for this honor and for the DOD. Most of all, thanks to GCU for providing this wonderful platform where independent artists are appreciated and rewarded. Wishing a super successful holiday season to all!
