Hi Julia,

The SOB Day is a funny concept and great material ... but ... I just ran across a comment indicating that the Spunky Old Broads Month is a trademarked item. I don't know if a trademark is in place for "Day", not "Month", but it's scary what items are trademarked.

I'd like to make a couple cards myself if it's open.

Hi Bruce,

I pretty much found all the websites I could about off-beat holidays and couldn't find any copyright on Spunky Old Broad's Day. Most all of them say to get the lady a card and I found other cards on different POS sites. I guess GCU would have tagged it or maybe they will help us look for that?

Scroll halfway down the page and you'll see someone claiming the copyright, along with newsletters and all.

I wanted to do a couple cards also but will hold off now until GCU steps up.

With a little bit of research the only thing we find is "spunky old broad" and in the area of computer & software products:

Nothing about "day" or "month"nor in the greeting card / printed paper products industry.

Month mentioned here but no evidence found of a trademark:

Based on that we feel we are ok to create cards for Spunky Old Broads Day.
