Fan page on fb?

These are questions for those of you who have a Fan page on fb, as this is what I have decided to do.
What type of store/business/product do you list as? I see no Greeting Cards option.
How do folks know about and view your fan page?
I've never seen any one's Fan page. Is the Fan page listed on your Wall?
Could someone tell me how to view their Fan page so I can get an idea of what it's all about?

Here's an article I wrote on my blog about setting up a Facebook fan page. Hopefully you will find it helpful.

I chose Local Businesses and Places/Business Services for mine:

A great free way to start getting the word out is to post a link on your profile wall to let your friends and family know about it and post a link in the forums and on your blog if you have one. Once you get a basic following (even if your fans aren't particularly interested, the word gets out and spreads from there.)

Once you get your page set up, I'd love to check it out

I have a fanbook page at https://www.facebook.com/#!/warmtraditionsgreetingcards.Facebook is pretty good about walking you through all the components. One surprise I notices was that I have the option of using it as my "landing page" I guess you'd say. When you scroll over to the right you will see INVITE FRIENDS. This enables you to suggest the page to all your FB friends and they can then LIKE it as many will do. But not all of them. If you have a blog, it's a good idea to link to your page whenever possible. Hope this was helpful.

When you create one, it automatically shows up on your personal profile on the left-hand bottom under "Pages".

The ".Facebook" gave me the error message: The page you requested was not found.

Thanks for the wonderful instructions how to do this! I've totally forgotten how to do this since I set up my Zazzle page. (Arg! It's disappeared!) I started getting my GCU page up but didn't get very far. Here's my facebook wall:

Facebook is a bit temperamental when it comes to GCU cards (or it may be on GCU's end--not sure) but what is working today:

Open up your Facebook fan page in one tab and select the card you want to post a link to in another (make sure it is from your storefront, not from your manage cards section) Copy the URL of the card from your browser, then click the 'link' button above the status bar in Facebook to open the 'attach' window. Paste the URL and click 'attach'. Then you can write what you want to about the card and post it.

If the picture of your card doesn't show up like it's supposed to, follow the same steps but instead of using the URL from your browser, click on the 'sell this card' button and copy the image link instead...you never know which one is going to work.

After you have it posted, you might want to check you link to make sure it takes you to your card and not the GCU main page. It has been very unpredictable lately.

Hope you can make sense of that!

Hi

I have several fan pages for the various branches of my work. I link to them regularly on my main profile and on my websites, squidoo etc. I also post on them when I get a nice sale or something to advertise or feature for my followers.

I took the plunge and started my Facebook page. I am not sure if I did it right or not,but I took a stab at it. Please check it out and give me some pointers. I will appreciate them.

I suppose I need a webpage too,but have no idea where or how to start that! Help!
