When get 25 fans on your business pages, then you can request a shorter and direct URL which makes getting to your page really easy.  Such as mine is http://www.facebook.com/SalonOfArt

WOW .. I did not realize that.  I just changed mine to http://www.facebook.com/ComicalCaptions

Thanx!

Here's an update before I turn in.  My "USA" Comical Captions ad on Facebook has been shown 16,000 times and clicked twice today for a cost of $1.24.

I'm rather impressed it was shown that many times.

My other campaign was clicked 4 times and hit my daily $3 budget.  No sales resulted, but it was shown 2500 times.

Okay....dummy here...  On FaceBook I have been trying to showcase some of my 'sold' cards but there is so much HTML within the sentence. It doesn't at all look like any other people's FB pages. When I go to the "sell this card" $ icon, and copy/paste.....there is a "Text Link" and an "Image Link". I've tried both and get lots of HTML along with links and other text. If someone could look here and let me know how to link a comment and a photo (with link) of my card, I would be very happy.

Oh....and by the way....I also need 25 "LIKES" to shorten my link.

thank you all very much!

Yippeeee, I finally figured it out!
Okay.....copy/paste the "Image" link into FaceBook. Then, before hitting Enter, replace the html code with your text to describe the card.

My goodness....how HARD was THAT?    ahhhhhhhhh! Shocked

Hi Elizabeth,

The thing to remember with links in FB is that you use the same kind of link you would in an email, FB Post Links do not support Java.

For GCU...you would go to the Sell this Card link and chose the link on the top, the same goes for Zazzle.  Hope this helps!

Thanks Doreen, that helps....although all this Java stuff I haven't learned yet. Slowly but surely I'm learning.

I still need some LIKES to reach 25:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/ElizDesigns/194966757213080?sk=wall

Elizabeth...liked your page.

i would like to also know more about google ad words. i get them from a vendor i use.   i have let $500 worth expire, in $100 increments, just because i am afraid to use them when they come.  someone told me to be very careful with them because i could end up owing google a bunch of money.

i have a fb personal and business page.  i finally had to limit my business page to just my work, not links from others because i was getting buried.  if i post new work or a sale to my business page, it shows up on twitter and my personal page...so i figure i get 3 for 1 that way.

i have heard twitter is the very best for marketing.  my blog and business page on fb have very few followers not sure it is doing me any good.

Hello Peeps, I advertise all over the place, Most places like Twiters,FB/MYSPACE/WEBS.
I also have a FB PAGE/no ads as of yet.
Sharaholic > has a toolbar ap I use, and I have a few accounts they suggested, like LinkedIn,Posterous,StubleApon,HootSuit, to name a few,
I also Blog...Blogger,Squidoo,Livejournal,WordPress,

Hootsuit > also has an ap you can add to your tool bar, and it will post to a few places for you.
*When I'm not designing/shooting Im working on my advertising.

I`m more diligent with my "Blogs, than anything.
Has all of this worked?  I make sales very often now.
Learning new things with the GCU Newsletter.....and Im confident now of future sales.
Everyone is doing such a great job at GCU!

Yes Janet -- I can see you "out there."  Way to go!  You could teach us a lot.  I'm so glad your efforts are paying off.  You are one of the most active artists I've come across.

The more I do this the more I see critical value in capturing and retaining the the retail paper card buyer.  I'd like to see GCU create a frequent buyer program so that all current shoppers always come back here in the future, rather than to Z or to their local stores.

I think it unlikely to create paper card buyers from people who do not buy paper cards routinely already.

Any thoughts on this?

I have a web site (http://DogBreedz.net ), a blog (http://dogbreedz.blogspot.com ), and a Facebook account (http://facebook.com/DogBreedz ).

The Web Site ties everything together:  my photo viewing galleries, my various POD sites and my blog/FB pages.

I try to put up a photo a day at my FB site (when I'm too busy, that slides) just to share the pix, and to stay in front of people's minds.   I usually use photos from recent shoots, and try to choose pix where the pet's human is a FB friend of mine (so I can tag them and have it show up on their profile page as well).

I try to update my blog weekly.  Just started a random "Meet the Breed" feature (no schedule on when I profile another breed, depends on my mood, my schedule and the available news for the week).  The MtB is meant to help pepper search engines, and I will be doing more linking to my PODs that feature those breeds.

About once a month I let FB update my Friends list from my email address book (as I have photo shoots I add people to the addy book).

I do have a mailing list (I love YourMailingListProvider.com - or ymlp.com) but for an actual newsletter I'm a bit of an over achiever and never seem to have the time to put together something professional looking.  I should lower my standards and send out monthly short e-letters and recap what's been going on at my blog.

Off to google "how to clone myself so I can get more work done" ...

Okay....here's another question FaceBook for anyone.

How come that when I want to "boast" and show a product or card, it automatically goes to my Personal (http://www.facebook.com/home.php) page and not my Business (http://www.facebook.com/pages/ElizDesigns/194966757213080?sk=wall) page.

I still need 25 likes to shorten my page.

Don't you just LOVE FB?  undecided
