The Ping Thing

When you make a blog post or Squidoo lens or edit one, be sure to ping afterwards. What's pinging? That's a way to alert search engines that you have fresh content, and helps drive traffic to your blog or lens.

I found a very good Squidoo lens (alas, not my own) with links to free pinging and social bookmarking sites, and I thought it would be a good idea to share. If you're going to self-promote, you need to get on board the ping thing. Wink
