One more for this week, similar to AA / NA trademarks...
Please REMOVE the terms below from your existing cards and avoid using them in new cards as soon as possible. This applies to terms in your images, inside verses, titles, keywords and artist's notes. In an effort to not take cards offline by returning them for edits we are asking artists to edit your cards accordingly. For those cards not edited by the end of next week (6/13) GCU will take them offline by returning them for edits.
USMC
U.S. Marine Corps
Marine Corps
Marines
as well as any signature insignias
We will allow the term "Marine" (singular) to remain in any form (image, keywords, card title, inside verse, artist's notes) as it is a common noun describing a person or occupation and does not refer to the organization.
Per official document from Marines re: Zazzle::

3. Question: What trademarks require permission to use from the Marine Corps?
Answer: The Eagle, Globe and Anchor, term Marine Corps, Marines, U.S. Marine Corps, initials USMC and the official Seal are deemed insignia owned by the United States Marine Corps. This list is not exhaustive, and if you have any questions about any Marine Corps-branded marks, please request permission before proceeding.
EXAMPLES of ALLOWED TERMS/KEYWORDS:
For these reasons please only use related keywords that are not reflective of the organization itself (USMC, U.S. Marine Corps, Marine Corps, Marines). For example consider using:
Marine, military, service, soldier, etc.
The best way to pinpoint your cards needing editing is under Manage Cards using the Find Specific Cards by Keyword search function:
