Thought I'd share this

I just finished working on a couple of custom cards for a very particular customer. Because her cards often need some tweaking, I started uploading the cards and then sending them to her as ecards via GCU's free ecard feature. That way each revision didn't have to go through the review process. A good time saver for me and the customer and I'm sure the reviewers here.
Hope this can help other artists working on custom cards.
Linda

"E"...they didn't turn it back on in our stores, but if you click the "free eCard" link at the top of the page you can still send free ecards. You will find all the cards that you have uploaded into your store there. You can send them as ecards.

Thanks for sharing that information, Linda. That's an excellent idea! I didn't realize that cards that are just uploaded are there - without the review process.

what am I doing wrong? I clicked free ecards ... I put in my store term (I keyword tag it) - dogbreedz - to see my card images - and it returned nothing ... but how would I get a non-submitted card to show anyway, since it doesn't have keywords yet? Or are you talking about submitting the card, but letting customer review it while waiting for GCUs approval? Either way, mine didn't show (I have two waiting approval, so thought I'd test this processes by emailing one to myself ...).

What I do is simply upload the card as usual, 300dpi,jepeg,etc,. Then once it is magically available, go to ecards, select the card, send it to my custom customer, he/she reviews it, sends back a message to me, I do whatever, and then submit the final image for fast track review....am I making sense? Is this process clear? Does it help? This worked well for me with a custom order for the 12 days of christmas where the customer wanted the tree designed to her tea recipe menu...if you choose, you can see it in my "private gallery". I needed to make minute changes, and once it dawned on me about the ecards, this process was MUCH easier and faster than going thru the review process. This card took five adjustments...5 less cards for the GCU review process.
Make sense? Linda

Boy you're smart Linda!
What a good idea, thanks! I've never had anyone order a custom card, but if I do (hopefully)...I'll now know what to do! Thanks!

Peggy,
I hope I can clarify this for you: when you've arrived at the ecards page, you then need to click on
photo ecards
in order to have your uploaded images appear. These are the
images
you have uploaded to the site, not the finished cards you've created and submitted for review and approval. You can proceed to use those images in the fashion described by Linda, and you can also "clean house" at the same location (much more easily than on the Create-a-Card pages, I have found) if you wish to delete (images, not cards) any images you won't be using again. Deleting them there also removes them from the list stored under Create Card, I discovered to my great surprise awhile ago.
I think there has been one crucial step missing from your attempts and that now you should be able to do what Linda is suggesting.
And, Linda: absolutely brilliant! Thanks for this excellent tip!
