K,

Which HP model does 7x10 borderless?  The RR guy said in an email 4 days ago that "Right now there are no printers that do borderless 7x10."

Well, I tend to believe YOU.

I do know mine will not after looking at the specs.  There are only specific borderless sizes programmed in.  Grrr...

It's OK as I don't care for the RR paper anyway.

HP Photosmart D7360.... about 1.5 years old.

Put a chalk mark up for HP.  There are so many variables in all printers, it's difficult to figure it all out.

The printshop program also has a neat little feature called "precision print adjustment" that can move image 0.01 inch or more in any direction  in print preview.  The page that comes up in print preview is the page size that was preselected.  So if the image is off a little for borderless printing, it is easy to adjust before printing.

This may be a hp feature.  I'm not sure because I hardly ever use the hp print program.

OK Tom,
I figured it out! borderless printing on 5X7 cards! Grin Shocked Shocked

Thank you, thank you Kathleen, whilst I was not able to follow your instructions exactly (have a Canon printer) it guided me to try something I had not before and voila!

Tom give this a try.

Page Set up...choose 8X10 borderless.
Make sure Scale to fit is NOT selected.
Make sure Center Image is NOT selected and put 0's in alignment box for TOP and LEFT. I work in photoshop so not sure if these window and options come up for you.
Hit print.

I have print to the edge cards, Cool Cool Cool Whoo Hoo! Happy dance going on.

Wow! I have been looking for something like this. Checked out Red River papaers and decided I would order a sample pack of greeing card paper to see what it was like. Price was only $7.99 whih is reasonable. Problem is I live in Australia - shipping charges??? $38.00.  Shocked
Guess who won;t be ordering any paper from there!!

I wanted to try this because I have the same problem with ordering my cards here, shipping is a killer!! Makes the cards totally UN-cost effective.
Back to the drawing board. Oh! and try and I might I have been unable to find  place in Australia that will sell card stock to the general public which is why I was looking overseas.
Hm.. will just keep looking., there is bound to be somewhere.
Meantime I wish you all the very best of luck and I hope your ventures go really well!!  Smiley

Slicer/Dicers.

I ended up buying 2 Fiskars slicer/dicers with 40% off locally (Michaels):
Rotary:  Fiskars 12" Desktop Rotary Trimmer; Model 12-9902;  http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/tools/t_desktop-rotary-trimmer.aspx
Trimmer: Fiskars 12" Premium Craft Trimmer; Model 01-005249;  http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/tools/t_premiumcrafterstrimmer.aspx

I use the rotary one a lot more than the trimmer so far, mainly since it holds the paper in place as you cut - less mistakes.

Nice new vid on the RR paper.  It was cool to see "my" printer highlighted too.  They also publish a regular emailed newsletter which is filled with great tips.  I just wish they sold heavier paper!  Their 7x10 glossy paper is 74# vs. GCU's 110#.

Well, I finally got a bite using this quick-turn method.  It's a card for a local manufacturer that makes a car-wash "add-on" system that uses radio frequencies to trigger a wireless transponder on your windshield that tells them who you are and what kind of car wash you've prepaid for.  Drive right in sort of deal.  The thing on the pole is a radio antennae.

They loved the card I designed and are now deciding how many they want.  They want different verses for customers, vendors, employees, and business neighbors.  Even the Mayor is going to get one.  Smiley

I added the Santa's cap graphically and that's what did the trick!
