We will be putting more importance on Card Titles and using them more proactively to provide valuable data to search engines. Please ensure that you are using descriptive and unique Card Titles.
It is very important to have a unique and descriptive card title that relates to your card and image. Card Titles should be as descriptive as possible within the allowed space. They are not only used by shoppers but also provide valuable data to search engines. This will help searching shoppers find your cards.
A card title should typically contain:
the Occasion (Birthday, Christmas, Miss You, etc)
the Recipient or Age if specific (dad, aunt, 25, 70, etc.)
a Key Descriptor of the card (funny, adult, sexy, roses, Chihuahua, etc.)
For example: Mom Cornucopia Thanksgiving, 50th Funny Cupcake Birthday, etc.
Do not use generic titles like XMAS1, XMAS2, etc. Titles should be meaningful to shoppers. Other examples: Stars - Holiday Tree, Candy Cane - Holiday Tree, Mom Birthday - Violets, Mom Birthday - Gardening, etc.
TIP: When you have a series of cards with a similar card title plus a differentiating element (age or relationship for example) consider using the differentiating element/word first so it is noticed right away and does not risk getting truncated when displayed.
For example:
Hydrangea Note Card Millie
Hydrangea Note Card Mary
Hydrangea Note Card Martha
Daisy Happy Birthday French
Daisy Happy Birthday Italian
Daisy Happy Birthday German
are more effective when when displayed as...
Millie Hydrangea Note Card
Mary Hydrangea Note Card
Martha Hydrangea Note Card
French Happy Birthday Daisy
Italian Happy Birthday Daisy
German Happy Birthday Daisy
NOTE: there is NO need to include the word(s) "greeting card" in your card titles.
Hope this is helpful information!
