Store Report Problems

Hi Everyone,
 
In your store report you'll notice that the clicks and visits are missing.  
 
Clicks and visits have been temporarily turned off as they were causing our database to crash.  When this has been corrected and the numbers are turned on again I will let everyone know.

The Store Reports are now corrected, visits and clicks should be showing up again, let me know if you notice any strange behavior.

I see no change.  All zeroed out still except for cards sold and cards reviewed columns.

The report for my store has an issue with visits vs clicks:
April 22 - 0 visits, 4 clicks
April 23 - 0 visits, 3 clicks
 
Maybe the March problem is back?

Hi Carol,
I think that when it says no visits but you have clicks, it means that someone is looking at your store from outside of GCU...like BigDates.com for example.
I could be wrong but I think that's right. Smiley

I thought the clicks was when a card was clicked within GCU, such as when they searched and found a card and clicked on it to look at a bigger version of it.

Yes I think that's also true....the clicks represent cards that are clicked on, but when you see NO store visits AND there are clicks, then I think it means they came from outside of GCU...and clicked on your card.
Now if I'm wrong, please anyone out there correct me, because this is only my opinion. Smiley

Couldn't they come into GCU and look for cards and click on them and not go to your store? I know I do and friends and family do.

Hi Carol, this means that they clicked on your card from one of our category pages or when using the search bar at the top of the page.  They didn't actually visit your store.

Hi everybody, Please bear with me, as altho I have had a shop for a while here, I'm just now adding more images/cards to it. I'm having to relearn the navigation thru-out the site. First problem encountered: I was trying to choose my featured cards in the gallery, and chose 2 or 3 and clicked on the YES to be featured. Nothing changed on the storefront. Then, I wanted to change the order of my cards in the storefront, so I went into the manage cards and changed the numbering sequence of each card, and saved the changes. When I went back to my shop url, nothing had changed. The cards were still in the same order they have always been in. Can anyone tell me, based upon what I've relayed here, what I am doing wrong?

1.  You have to add the Featured Cards module to your store.  Do that under LOOK and DESIGN >> Store layout and Content
 
2.  You might have to do a refresh to reload the store page (F5 on a PC) to see the new arrangement in your product gallery in your store.

I don't kow where to file this under Shaun. I made a new card Happy Barkmas ID 540227. Since everything has changed a lot around GCU I'm finding it hard to figure out if my one card will get approved. I sent it in on the 17th of Dec. 2009. It's just one card. Not 2,3,4, 10, 100 or so. Just one.

I just noticed today that when I type anything in the "Search My Store" box, instead of finding what I've searched for, it takes me to the All Cards page. I've used that feature in the not too distant past, so I know it used to work properly.

Shaun, My store's arrange gallery function seems  not to be working.  I have arrange the gallery several times, saved my changes and still some did not take after several days of waiting.

The entire site, all stores are not showing cards or all the cards when a store category is clicked on.  I reported this earlier from my store, but I was just trying to look through another artist's storefront and when I searched for something in their store it said there were 20,000 results (which is wrong of course) and showed me NOTHING page after page after page.
 
This really needs to be looked into, it's been more than 24-hours and this is the view customers are seeing when they click on our storefront categories.

My store is not showing the cards properly and navigate it is a nightmare Sad  It is quite disappointing ...  the cards do not show up in the categories.
 
 
Example: I click on Invitations>Wedding Attendants/Bridal Party> Walk me Down the Aisle?  
While on the side bar, it says I have 14 cards, once you click this link it shows zero cards  cry   none, nada.......  
 
This is just a simple example. The majority of  the links to specific categories show  just one or two cards.  Shocked I imagine the disappointment of the customers. This is not at all a friendly navigation.
 
Could you please, check up why my store does not work properly? Please, help fix this problem!

I have noticed this horrible navigation already for a while, but I was hoping that it would be fixed. As nothing happened, I finally reacted, but I have not seen any improvement yet.  I can imagine that someone less familiarized with the site will be totally discouraged by the lack of cards once they click on the categories. That is not good for GCU and the artists affected by this abnormality.

Yup . . . it's still an issue for me too.  Though my Birthday category is close to being accurate, I checked them all after reading your post and my invitations which should be 270+ is 0

I'm guessing this issue has something to do with all the problems the sub-galleries had and in correcting those (which I've haven't set up yet) it has caused some little nasty bugs in other category areas of our stores.

I tried to update my feature section but, I can't add any cards to my 'feature' section...  Sad
It says I already have the max of 15... but on the feature page it says I can have 25?

There is something wrong. Under my card images it's showing a record # of sales and clicks, but there are no sales/clicks generating on my store report. Can you please look into this?

My manage store area is showing lots and lots of sales I did not have...and these numbers are not reflected in the generated sales report.
 
What's Up with that?

Donna and Avis- i think your issue has to do with how many you set for your featured cards when you did your initial store set up.  Use the product numbers box on the featured card section to load up new cards and see if that works as it should instead of checking off the featured cards in the create cards page.

Whenever I click on my cards in the store I get a 404 not found error message! Is there something wrong with the site at present?
I tried other artist's stores and the same thing happened. I tried it in IE and FF both!   undecided
 
Mary...thanks for the feedback. I don't recall way back when I set up the store actually having any input into how many cards were to be in Featured? I'll have to see if I can check that. But I have been adding through the ID number as it's the only way to get them in there! If you're right it'll be a simple fix if I can find where the "magic number" lies... Cheesy

What's Up with that?

 
This should be corrected now, there was a bug on the Manage Cards page that was inflating the sales numbers.  What you see in your Store Report and Earnings Report would have been accurate.

No that is not right. I bought 12 cards on 10-14-11. I didn't get my commission for that. Plus it did not show up in store that 12 cards were bought. So your records are wrong. Yes I did buy 1 card each 2 other times. But this time I bought 12 cards at once. I just got them last week. So there is a problem on your end. Thanks. The order number was #722952 Pug Dog Princess Happy Halloween Holiday Card.

Hi Jonice, Can you let me know if the commission shows up now?   We found the issue and we ran a script to correct commissions for everyone.  A couple of others will also be seeing some new sales as a result of this.  We think the issue may have been related to a power outage we had that evening.

Contrary to the product gallery, where the two left vertical rows of cards pop to the right when we put the mouse over them and therefore are completely visible; my two left vertical rows of feature cards pop out to the left when we put the mouse over them and so the cards go out of the visible screen.  
 
This must be quite frustrating for the customers  Angryand can easily demotivate them from keeping exploring the cards in the page.  Sad
Can you, please, help me to fix the problem? kiss

I have noticed a couple of strange things in my store and store report - one day I went in to check the Search bar to the left of my shop and instead of cards appearing a formula appeared - I tried again and the formula number doubled.  When I went to check my store report for that day - the number of clicks had increased to 1,900 - not really a possibility given the average number of clicks per day my shop usually receives.  Is there a connection between the search function that doesn't appear to be working and the number of clicks that appear in the store report?  Can you check on this please?

I can't seem to open my store .. When I type in my store name something else comes up..I can't do anything, upload, etc.. or even change the sub galleries... cry
 
I even tried to open my store through my facebook site and it won't open.. I can open Zazzle and my other links I have on my facebook but not Greeting Card Universe.. embarrassed
 Can someone check into this .. If someone wants to buy a card .. they won't be able to.... undecided

Still having trouble posting cards. I cannot select categories. I cannot edit the inside of the card. Nevertheless, the system saved the part that I could do, gave it a PID, and submitted it (unfinished). I sent a notice to the Card Review team to let them know it is not finished & of my trouble. I have not seen an answer to my prior posting (see below) yesterday that was in response to Nassar's post, nor have I received an email response.  
 
I just would like to know whether this is just a problem for my store, or for more people. I am willing to be patient, but just need to make sure someone knows of my issue.

Good morning
I'm trying to complete my card but I'm stuck on the inner page section I fill in all the information and click next but it wont allow me to move to the next page. It says fill in Title and keywords even though the boxes are filled?

Hi Donna, yes indeed, something seems wrong with your store. On your front page the first subcategory says Friendship ( 7 cards ) - but only one card is visible - next is Birthday Cards ( 4 cards ) , but only 1 visible, then Love ( 18 cards ) and a link to 'see more' - but also there, only 1 visible...  
 
Hope someone of the tech staff will be able to help you sole this soon!

I had a customer who wanted a custom card.. Unfortunately, after 3 days of corresponding and numerous tries on her part to access the card I set up for her, she gave up.  Would someone please make this process understandable to customers/artists? Huh

I downloaded the Card Details Report for dates Jan 1 2015 - Feb 17  2015 and it is showing more commissions earned than the Store Report for that date range.

In my administrative settings, it says I have 91 approved cards, but I only have 90 in my store.  This isn't a huge problem right now, but may be down the road due to the new store limits that were put in Dec.  Thank you in advance for your help!

I may be misunderstanding your statement, but I believe your situation might occur due to having an approved card in your Private Gallery, or you might have had an approved card that you later decided (or accidentally) deleted from your regular store.

I was cleaning out my store and one of my cards when I tried to remove it a little warning came up saying that this card has pending orders. I don't see any orders on my earning list.

I can't change the colors of my storefront. I have never had problems before. I am not sure why it is not working. I can select preset color schemes, but that is all.

I reported this problem when I noticed it too several months ago. It may be a glitch that has returned or it's still on the fix it list.

It's not a glitch, it's been broken for quite some time now. I think the problem is that it was reported on this thread and is an issue which has nothing to do with store reports - so it was probably overlooked.

Was not able to change my December Store colors, still unable to change STORE COLORS to match my new Valentine Banner. I'm apprehensive that customers will not go any further into my store thinking my main page is not appealing and professional as it could and should be.  
Anyone know what's going on?

I am pretty new to GCU and the interface was new to me.
 
I made a huge mistake on my store. After uploading approx 30+ designs-I noticed none were in my store-so I checked (on my entire store) and  embarrassedmisunderstood the  following checkbox and clicked on it:
"Make available in Private Gallery"
 
Now I am unable to make the sections public. I thought it meant for me to have the designs show up  in my store I needed to click on that-and I did.  Now after uploading ART for an entire day I cannot undo it!
 
Is there anyway you can undo it on your end? I don't think I could upload all of this again.

Cherie - I've tested the basic reports and I have been able to access them all as normal. The fact that no other artist has joined you in this plea, may suggest that this is a unique issue on your end.
 
I suggest, if you haven't already, log out of your GCU account. Dump your browser cache and history. Reboot. Log back in. Often these browsers like to keep returning us to a page which had a momentary glitch, because that's the page they've cached for you.
 
If this does not change anything, then I suggest logging in and checking your report using a different browser. The only way to know what may be causing this problem for you is to make sure everything on your end has been reset and tested. Only then can the techs on GCU's end begin to diagnose a problem on their end, if there is one.

I use ONLY Firefox for all the POD sites because generally speaking it does not have communication problems with the various every-changing and complicated coding required for sites like GCU to let us do what we do on the back end. Smiley  Good luck!  
 
If you already use Firefox, then I recommend Google Chrome as the next likely 'stable' browser for this type of working environment.  Smiley

I'm guessing, now that there are two of you with the same issue, is that MS Edge is not communicating properly with the language/code that these reports are written in. So, using Firefox should solve your issues with the report as well.

Hey I'm new to GCU. I'm not recieving my card reviews. I do have one from a fellow artist that shows on the store reports but not on my store itself. I know that at least two customer, who personally informed me that they filled out reviews on each card they purchased but they are not showing at all. I have set up everything in store setup. Feeling stuck. Thanks for checking! Jamie

If I remember correctly, you need to approve each review before it posts to your store. I think you'll see that when you go to Manage Cards page. Select the Images and Cards drop down, choose Manage Cards. Over on the upper left you should see notification of reviews for approval.
 
Try that and see if that's the issue here. Smiley

Thank you for responding to my question so fast. I did that but it is blank. I did get a review from a fellow artist which shows on my store reports it never did show on the approval page so still not sure what to do. I just know that the other two reviews where submitted by my customers that fill out a review on each card they bought and they are not showing anywhere. Thank you for you time. Jamie

And I thought the option to approve such testimonials appears only when one has been submitted and then disappears after the artist decides to approve or not. I do not see any sort of preset link or tab on the Card Reviews page.  
 
Also, I didn't think we had the option to have any control over the reviews of individual cards. Or perhaps I have the same bug as Jamie because on my "Card Reviews" section of my Store Report, I have never seen any option that lets me approve them for any sort of public display. Perhaps that is the case when the comments are coming from other artists?

We artists do not have any control over card reviews.

 
At least for myself, I'm not referring to card approval reviews, but rather text that appears when you follow these these links: Manage Store, then Store Report, then Card Reviews (on the left side). In this spot are "Card Reviews" that not only are notes from "Team" if you got a Design of the Day, but then also comments from other artists. (An additional musing regarding the latter, I no longer remember how those notes get there nor how to send such messages to other artists.)
 
Anyway, once they are in that location, I don't think we have access to doing anything with them, and I also think we do not see all customer feedback regarding our cards. We don't know if folks are giving our cards 1 star or 5 stars. My guess is that GCU admin uses them for their private evaluations (using poor reviews to help them guide us) and then posts select positive ones according to an internal metric (as the stars would lose value if GCU posted ALL of the positive customer reviews).

I'm sorry yes I was talking about testomonies not card review. I know at least to customers that filled out testomonies on each card they purchased and have not received them. Just would like to know why I have not received a single testomony from any of the cards I have sold. Just searching for some answers. Thank you for your time.

Customer testimonies DO NOT show on your storefront, they show on the GCU homepage at the bottom. There is a small link on the top right bar of that Testimonial section, which says 'more' - click that to go backwards through them.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I went thur all ( all the way back to march when I made my first sale) the testomonies and they did not appear there either. So if the testimonies never appear on your store then why is there a testomony section on my store front. The two customer that sent their testomonies for all the cards they purchased. One being my sister and the other being my best friend. A total of 12 cards and they put in their comments on everyone of the cards but their comments don't appear anywhere?  Sorry just alittle confused about how all this works. Thank you again

I understand your frustration. Smiley  It's been a long time for me since I had to remember this, but hopefully I'll get it right.
 
- There are testimonies for our storefronts - those have to be approved by you, I think. You'll see any awaiting your approval on your Administrative Settings page.  These are not a per card testimonial. You need to turn this module ON in your store front. You do that by choosing Look & Design drop down, Store Layout & Content, then checking the box that says Testimonials.
 
I just sent you one, so you should see it and be able to approve it.
 
- Then there are per card ratings. On the 3d view of each card in the public marketplace, there is an 'other' showing Favorites and Ratings. These ratings can be see only by visiting each card in your manage card area, if there is a rating on one of your cards, you can click on it and read the comment too if there was one left.
 
I just left a rating and comment on your PID 1567734 - so you can see what that looks like.
 
- Lastly, there is the customer testimonials on the GCU homepage. Those may not have them all. It depends what your friends and family actually did. Most likely they 'reviewed their purchase' which is an email that comes to the buyer. Those we the artists may not ever see, some become testimonials on the page you looked through, others don't. There are many thousands of cards sold every week, I'm guessing there is an algorithm that chooses and/or rotates those customer comments.

Ditto, Thanks Doreen! This was a great explanation! And wouldn't it be great if on the Manage Cards page in the "Find Specific Cards By Status" section, there was a Value option of "Rated Cards", so such cards could easily be found.  Wink

I understand your frustration. Smiley  It's been a long time for me since I had to remember this, but hopefully I'll get it right.

- There are testimonies for our storefronts - those have to be approved by you, I think. You'll see any awaiting your approval on your Administrative Settings page.  These are not a per card testimonial. You need to turn this module ON in your store front. You do that by choosing Look & Design drop down, Store Layout & Content, then checking the box that says Testimonials.

I just sent you one, so you should see it and be able to approve it.

- Then there are per card ratings. On the 3d view of each card in the public marketplace, there is an 'other' showing Favorites and Ratings. These ratings can be see only by visiting each card in your manage card area, if there is a rating on one of your cards, you can click on it and read the comment too if there was one left.

I just left a rating and comment on your PID 1567734 - so you can see what that looks like.

- Lastly, there is the customer testimonials on the GCU homepage. Those may not have them all. It depends what your friends and family actually did. Most likely they 'reviewed their purchase' which is an email that comes to the buyer. Those we the artists may not ever see, some become testimonials on the page you looked through, others don't. There are many thousands of cards sold every week, I'm guessing there is an algorithm that chooses and/or rotates those customer comments.

There are no other options. Your buyers did one of those three things. If it's one of the first two, you'll find them. But, my guess is, since they made purchases, they did the last of the three and you may never see those, but believe they are there. Smiley

Hi Shaun, I am not sure where to post this?   I am not sure if anyone else is having this problem.  But I am no longer receiving emails from Artist Services that I have sold cards.  I thought it was odd that I have not sold any cars in a few days (May 23) and when I logged on to my store report I saw a lots of sales after this date and today which I did not receive notification for?
